Alan M. Jones is a 12 year Veteran of the Marine Corps, who has been touring the world for the last 17 years performing numerous feats of endurance, strength, and daring. He is motivated to train daily and risk his life on a regular basis, by the firm belief his efforts to promote fitness and expand mankind's perception of human potential are the sparks of inspiration needed to motivate others to higher levels of positive performance.
During his years as a touring professional, Alan has assisted many worthwhile organizations receive massive media attention for their causes, as well as over $1,000,000 in donations. Captain Jones has delivered hundreds of motivational talks to audiences ranging from school children to sales conventions with several thousand participants. He has written and published four successfully selling books and several motivational cassette tapes.
Born in Storm Lake, Iowa on March 17, 1947 Alan is the son of two educators. His father, Francis Jones, had been a Marine in the South Pacific during WWII, and fought in the battle for Iwo Jima. Following his return to Iowa, the elder Jones began a 26 year coaching career which resulted in his election to the Iowa basketball Hall of Fame. Myrna Jones taught for nearly 40 years affecting the lives of many children in a positive manner. Alan's sister Jill was born in 1958, and currently resides in San Diego. In 1964 Alan was a foreign exchange student to Norway. He graduated in 1969 from the University of South Dakota, having studied International Affaiirs, Jones served as a Platoon and Comapnay Commanders in Vietnam in 1970-71. His oldest daughter, Jennifer, was born during that Tour of Duty. In 1972 Jones was sent by the Marine Corps as an Ambassador of Goodwill to the Munich Germany Olympics, and the story of Captain America Jones had begun.
